Today Briere recieved a qualifying offer of 1.94 Million. However, his agent says he is going to try and negotiate a better deal the one offered.

Briere can try and negotiate a new contract, but if that does not work out. We could see either the Buffalo Sabres or Briere calling for arbitration.

Briere was a key part of the Buffalo Sabres success this season and they need to lock this guy up.
