In my opinion Montreal and St Louis had great drafts. Montreal picked up 3 players that many people had projected as first rounders.

The Tanguay trade was a great move for Calgary, not so good for Colorado. This should bolster the Flames offence.

The Demitra deal was a good deal for both teams. That is untill the Kings wasted their pick on Trevor Lewis.

The Flyers draft wasn't so great. Bob Clarke even forgot his first round selection at the podium.

I liked seeing Ovechkin at the podium, it was something different.

I liked The St. Louis Blues comedic start to the entry draft, It had some people on their heels.

One thing I do not understand is why Bettman gets booed so bad and why it continues to happen year after year. This guy has done so much for the game and he is the reason our game is back and better than ever. It is ridicilous to hear people jeering him like that.

I would also like to congratulate Regina Pat Logan Pyett on being drafted 7th round to the Wings.

This was a great draft day. Good-night to all.
